Welcome to Fahamu Safaris
The Umbwe Route is one of the shortest routes to the Southern Glaciers and Western Breach of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is considered the most demanding route and is therefore ideal for hikers who are looking for a challenge. Umbwe is a less used and quiet trail that can be difficult, but very rewarding. This is the route to choose if you want to test your skills on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, away from the crowds found on the usual trails.

We had a very good experience and were able to see the big five. Our guide Soloman/Souleymane was very good.
Amazing trip, highly recommended. Ole was a fantastic safari guide, and even though we went when it "wasn't so good" because of the long rains, we still saw many of the animals Mikumi had to offer.
We had our 5 days/4 nights safari with Fahamu Safaris in January 2023, starting from Arusha and covering Tarangire (1 day), Lake Manyara (1 day), Serengeti (2 days), and Ngorogoro Crater National Park. We had a great experience.
My family and I went on a four day safari with Fahamu Safari and had the best time of our lives. We really experienced memories for a lifetime. This was due to the fact that we had the best guide and driver we could ever hope for.
That was so amazing adventure!!! We traveled with Mr. Ole, he knows everything about animals, birds, insects, behaviours all fauna and flora. We were in Mikumi National Park in Tanzania for 3 days.
